Membrane bioreactors (M.B.R.)

Membrane bioreactors (M.B.R.) with submerged membrane modules have set the standard for the next generation of biological wastewater treatment plants. Membrane bioreactor systems combine proven filtration technology with biological treatment for municipal, commercial and industrial wastewater treatment  for water reuse applications.

The M.B.R. technology is based on microfiltration or ultra-filtration and has been successfully  applied  at  an  continuously  increasing  number of locations around the world. In addition to their steady increase in number, MBR installations are also increasing in terms of scale.

Our company has designed, constructed and operated  MBR plants, using all  the common types i.e. flat membranes , the vacuum rotation membranes  and  mostly the hollow fiber membranes     ( http://global-sei.com/poreflon/index.html )   with  excellent  results.

The  projects  that  we  have  already  completed  are :

  • CASINO  MONT PARNES  (TEMPORARY UNIT) –  PARNITHA (2008) (FLAT-160 m3/d)
  •  CAMPUS POTA ROMANO – PYLOS (2008-2010)  (HOLLOW FIBER & FLAT – 200 m3/d)
  • PILOT  PLANT  –  PSYTTALEIA  (2009) (HOLLOW FIBER – 9.0 m3/d)
  • NAVARINO  DUNES HOTEL – PYLOS (2010)  (VACUUM ROTATION – 1200 m3/d)
  • RESIDENTIAL COMPLEX – MARATHOPOLI  (2010) (FLAT – 25 m3/d)
  • GΥALOU BUSINESS  PARK – SPATA ATTIKA (2011) ( HOLLOW FIBER – 180m3/d)
  • CASINO  MONT  PARNESS  (A’  PHASE) – PARNITHA (2011)  (HOLLOW  FIBER  – 160 m3/d)
